Creating With Architectural Fragments

Architectural fragments are one of my favorite pieces to find for my clients.
The uses are only limited by one's imagination.

This large 30" wide 18th c painted and gilt fragment from an Italian Villa
could have new life as the base for a wall console....

Marble top or distressed wood??

Are you imagining this beauty in your home...

Decorate With Reflections

Cote Paris

I love the placement of the red sofa's back against the trumeau mirror
and the creative use of reflections to decorate....

Reflections of over-sized architectural fragments flanking the open doorway...

Add Image

coupled with a reflection of large painting in the "adjoining room".

Invites one to explore...my head would be turning to see where was the painting??

Don't Just Hang Art....Sit On It!

UK edition Elle Decoration

Have you imagined being a fabric designer ??

Easy... if you follow the lead of Swedish artist and designer, Cilla Ramnek...
using nothing more than fabric paints!

The August UK edition of Elle Decoration
featured one of Cilla Ramnek's colorful transformations.

"Buy plain upholstery fabric....
wash and dry it...
(this helps the paint to absorb properly)

Use stencils to create the design...
apply the fabric paint and leave to dry...
cover with a cloth and iron on hot setting."

Art that you can sit on!!
